Do we need an office for this? Artemis II presents very little expertise relevant for a mission to Mars.
It’s a great question to ask. I would love to see a comprehensive report that analyzes which technologies could be directly relevant to Mars, and which areas see little to no overlap with the Moon missions. From there, we could make it super clear to the public what can be carried over and which technological areas will be almost starting from scratch. Maybe this report already exists and I just haven’t seen it yet. Anyone want to help point me in the right direction?
